M. Mark Melin, MD, FACS, RPVI

Dr. Mark Melin is working at the University of Minnesota in Wound Care, prior practice in Vascular Surgery. His interests are in wound care management and outcomes management, lymphatic dysfunction and education. He has been married to Cindy for 30 years, they have 4 children, participates in medical missions and enjoys time camping and hiking.

Joy Hesse, MA, CCC-SLP

Ms. Joy Hesse practices with a group of Otolaryngologists in West Des Moines where she has established a thriving voice and swallow clinic. She is passionate about sharing her years of experience, lecturing with regularity for organizations and universities including national and local chapters of ASHA.  Joy consults with SEC Medical Speech Pathology to provide in-house training for FEES and Videostroboscopy. Ms. Hesse holds her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa.

 

PROGRAM SPEAKERS

Laurie Arbes, MOT, CLT-LANA
Laurie Arbes is an occupational therapist with more than 19 years of experience as a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT). Her experience as an occupational therapist and CLT has been in outpatient clinics focused on cancer rehabilitation. Since 2017, she has worked as a Clinical Specialist on Tactile Medical’s clinical services team and often presents to medical audiences and offers guidance to patients, field representatives and Tactile Medical employees.

 

Susan Ellenson, PT, CLT-LANA, CWS
Susan Ellenson is a physical therapist with more than 23 years of experience as a clinician and consultant. In addition to holding a license to practice physical therapy, she is certified as a wound specialist (CWS) through the Academy of Wound Management and is a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT). She is currently a Clinical Specialist at Tactile Medical, providing ongoing clinical education on lymphedema, vascular and wound care.

 

Mary Froehle, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, WCC
Mary Froehle is a Senior Clinical Specialist at Tactile Medical. She serves as a resource for clinicians, patients and industry professionals, providing education, clinical guidance and problem solving for issues related to lymphedema, vascular and wound care. Mary has more
than 30 years of experience as an occupational therapist in a wide variety of settings, including acute care and out-patient.

 

Julie Green, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, WCC
Julie Green is an occupational therapist with 22 years of experience in a wide variety of settings. Julie joined Tactile Medical in 2014 and currently serves as Clinical Services Manager. This leadership role involves collaboration with researchers, physicians, clinicians, industry professionals and patients. Her team is dedicated to expanding awareness and understanding of lymphedema, vascular and wound care through clinical education.
